| Slick X Adidas Originals 2010 Collection adidas Originals shows no signs of stopping for 2010. After several high-profile releases including fresh deliveries from the label’s popular collaborative Originals by Originals line and the Street Pack (which brings back the adidas Originals’ energetic aesthetics), the label brought on Hawaiian grown graffiti artist, Slick, to the table. Slick grew up in Hawaii and made a name for himself when he was in the Bomb Squad. He was influenced by Japanese cartoon shoes such as Ultraman and Kaen Rider, and his style today is a mix of these influences with his art school training and love for the art of graffiti. Slick’s high voltage pop styles are adapted into a collection of kicks and apparel including the Vulc Mid, Artillery Mid, hoodies and tees, The colors stay quite rooted to the classic street wear shades of red, white and black, and the other set of colors seem to be based off adidas Originals’ signature blue. The Vulc Mid comes in two colorways, one with a black tonal upper with red accents on tongue and the graphics on the side panels; and the other in white with blue and purple graphics on the side paired with yellow lining and outsoles. Meanwhile, the Artillery Mid features an large “SLICK” tag across the sides on a blue upper with yellow and purple accents, and a cool paint splattered midsole. Of course, the Artillery Mid comes with a matching red, white and black colorway as well. The same graphics are used on matching tees and hoodies which are co branded with Slick’s signature gloved hand signs. Aside from the commercial collection, Slick also worked on the collaboration’s new campaign. Check out the goods and also the video of Slick chatting about everything from growing up in Hawaii to how he got into bombing. via: HS/X-Large
